The quick sketch I made watching the massive funeral after the hostage drama in Beslan, Russia turned out to be the starting point of a new style of working.
Like Monet said: the emotion and spontaneity in the sketch should be transferred to the canvas.
Hopefully I succeeded in doing that because this is such an important story; innocent people and children (who are innocent by definition) being crushed between fighting parties is one of the most horrible and primitive facts of this world that we, as humanity, should rise above.
